We had 38 swimmers participate in the CYO of Nassau & Suffolk Christmas Carnival this past Saturday, January 3rd. Our thanks go out to Rese Sangirardi for organizing a terrific event.

All of the swimmers had an opportunity to swim in 3 individual events (freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke and two relays (freestyle and medley).
I was very proud of how well our swimmers performed. Our newer swimmers did terrific in their first "real" meet and our experienced swimmers showed continued improvement over 2008.
My thanks to Bill Ferreri, Jackie Haslbauer, John McGovern and Keri Sudweeks for their help on the pool deck and for making the meet run so smoothly.
We are back in the pool for practice on Monday January 5th, and our first league meet is scheduled for January 24th.
